Sean Tam, Fellow, Communications & Policy
Sean Tam is graduating from George Washington University in Spring 2026 with a degree in finance and international affairs.
He is the Director of Operations and Sector Vice President for GW’s Socially Responsible Investment Fund (SRIF), a student-run ESG investment fund.
Sean is also recognized as a Ramsey Scholar at GW’s Investment Institute (GWII) for his work at the Phillips Student Investment Fund, where he helped manage a 3.5 million university endowment fund. In both GW SRIF and GWII, Sean covered the energy sector, where he was interested in impact and ESG-oriented firms that drive positive value to society.
Originally from Hong Kong, Sean is interested in international professional experiences. Sean is part of GW’s Global Bachelor’s Program, where he completed a Summer internship in Hong Kong’s commercial real estate industry and studied in Singapore and Rome, taking graduate-level classes in economics and finance. For his program capstone, Sean explores how tax regimes and pension systems affect investment returns in Singapore vs the United States.
During his time at ICM, Sean looks forward to supporting ICM’s communication with community stakeholders and learning about different policy issues central to impact investors.
