TALENT & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Impact Capital Managers (ICM) supports talent and leadership development at our member funds across four key areas: Sourcing, Hiring, Training and Development, and Mentorship and Career Pathing. In addition to the talent pipeline, we focus on knowledge sharing, network building, thought leadership, and continuous improvement.

Paths to Partner: Empowering Emerging Leaders for Firm-Wide Success

ICM’s Emerging Leaders Working Group alongside the Talent and Diversity Working Group published a new report “Paths to Partner: Empowering Leaders for Firm-Wide Success” to explore the importance of talent development for firm-wide success. Partner-level ICM members share insights on moving up in the industry as well as best practices for team advancement.

OUR APPROACH TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

At ICM, we believe that diversity and inclusion can drive performance and that talent exists everywhere but access to opportunities does not. This lack of access results in lost economic value for talent, businesses, and investors. Given the leverage we exercise as a network, ICM is positioned to make a difference.

We believe that high-quality, diverse talent is not a “pipeline problem.” It is available to firms, funds, and portfolio companies. ICM adds value to its members and to society by providing resources to help all stakeholders tap into the tremendous potential of this qualified talent.

We believe diversity is an inclusive concept. It encompasses, without limitation, geographic background, socioeconomic background, educational background, language diversity, first-generation status, age, disability, marital and parental status.
