PETER MAKEY, 2026 Mosaic Fellow

Peter is a member of the inaugural cohort of the M.S. in Climate Finance at Columbia University, where he co-leads the Columbia Climate Fund, Columbia's student-run climate tech VC. Prior to graduate school, Peter served as a Vice President on EQT's Private Capital Sustainability Team, where he managed sustainability due diligence, partnered with portfolio companies to implement sustainability value creation plans, and drove execution of EQT's decarbonization strategy. Peter began his career at Grant Thornton advising government agencies, corporates, and financial institutions on sustainability strategy. He received a B.A. in Government at William & Mary, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa and was a Division 1 Gymnast.

Peter is excited to join Closed Loop Partners this summer, working at the intersection of private capital and circular economy innovation to accelerate the transition toward a more resilient and resource-efficient economy.
