María Juliana Ruiz, Manager, Talent & Leadership Development / Program Director, Turner MIINT

María Juliana Ruiz joined Impact Capital Managers in January 2026 to lead the strategy and execution of the ICM Association & ICM Institute’s growing workstreams focused on cultivating a skilled and diverse impact investing workforce. She brings more than ten years of experience advancing sustainability, public policy, and impact investing across nonprofits, government, and the private sector.

Before joining Impact Capital Managers, María Juliana served as associate director of membership growth at the Global Impact Investing Network, where she led global engagement and membership efforts with investors, foundations, and development institutions. She designed programs and events that strengthened collaboration, increased participation, and supported the growth of a global impact investing community.

Earlier in her career, María Juliana held senior leadership roles at City Hall in Cali, Colombia, including deputy chief of staff and program director. In these roles, she worked closely with elected officials, international partners, and local businesses to attract investment, advance economic development, and support sustainability and public policy initiatives.

María Juliana holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the School of Public Engagement at The New School, a bachelor’s degree in political science from Universidad Icesi, and a certificate in social management.
