Impact Capital Managers Announces 2026 Mosaic Fellows, Supporting the Next Generation of Impact Investors

Industry's flagship summer immersion program for graduate students places a new cohort at leading impact funds

New York, NY - May 28, 2026 — Impact Capital Managers (ICM), the leading association of private capital fund managers investing for superior returns and meaningful impact, and the ICM Institute are proud to announce the 2026 cohort of the Mosaic Fellowship, its flagship talent and leadership development initiative that launches careers in impact investing and cultivates a skilled, diverse future workforce.

Since its launch in 2019, the Mosaic Fellowship has helped place 116 high-performing graduate students as summer associates at ICM member host funds. With 70% of graduates going on to full-time roles at ICM member funds or other leading impact investing institutions, including 41% at ICM funds directly and 29% elsewhere in the field, the program has become a remarkable launchpad for careers in impact investing.

These placement rates reflect Mosaic's instrumental role in building a high-caliber talent pipeline of future impact investors. ICM funds and other leading firms that have hired Mosaic alumni include Citi Impact Fund, Ecosystem Integrity Fund, Impact America Fund, Lime Rock New Energy, and Rebalance Capital. This summer, 14 Fellows will join that growing alumni community.

To kick off the Fellowship, ICM will convene the cohort for an intensive two-day orientation on June 3–4 at Morgan Lewis' office in New York City. The orientation will feature over 20 industry leaders from ICM member funds, academic partners, alumni, and other field-building organizations, including Lila Preston of Generation Investment Management, David Su of Apax Global Impact, Adrianna Samaniego of Cherryrock Capital, Max Jawer of Jonathan Rose Companies, Josh Cohen of City Light Capital, Cathy Clark of Duke Fuqua, and Fran Seegull of the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance. Sessions will span topics including financial analysis skills, impact measurement and management, deal sourcing, and the current policy landscape.

Fellows will also participate in a field visit to a portfolio company of Closed Loop Partners. The orientation concludes with a reception welcoming Fellows into the broader ICM community. Each Fellow is also paired with a mentor from ICM's member network to provide guidance, support, and career connections throughout the Fellowship and beyond.

"What sets the Fellowship apart is the strength of the network, the support of the ICM team, and the skills Fellows develop through 10 weeks of immersion at their host funds. Alongside our partners and members, ICM is building a talent pipeline for impact investing that other industries take for granted. Some of this year's fellows first found their way to Mosaic through the Turner MIINT program, underscoring the importance of this industry infrastructure," said Marieke Spence, Executive Director at Impact Capital Managers.

Over ten weeks, Fellows gain hands-on experience in impact investing, including sourcing, diligence, portfolio company support, and other core aspects of the field. Each Fellow is also paired with a mentor from ICM's member network to provide guidance, support, and career connections throughout the Fellowship and beyond.

"We're proud to host a Mosaic Fellow again this summer and support the next generation of impact investors. The Fellowship has been an important pipeline for our firm as we've grown, and we look forward to seeing our Fellow contribute to meaningful work and be part of our continued growth," said Todd Leverette, Founder and Managing Partner at Apis & Heritage Capital Partners and ICM Association Board Member.

The Mosaic Fellowship is one of two talent programs organized by the ICM Institute, which oversees the organization's grant-funded charitable and educational programming. The other is the Turner MIINT program, a year-long, hands-on training program in impact investing for graduate students. This year, ICM co-produced the Turner MIINT competition for the first time in partnership with the Impact, Value, and Sustainable Business Initiative at the Wharton School (Wharton Impact). Together, the two programs form ICM's core pipeline for identifying and developing the next generation of impact investing leaders, connecting top graduate talent to the field through both experiential learning and real-world fund experience.

"The Mosaic Fellowship provided a great way to break into impact investing, but it was much more than that. Through the fellowship, I learned a tremendous amount, participated in all aspects of the investment process, met incredible peers from other schools who are also interested in impact, connected with practitioners in the field, and further cemented my passion for the space. My advice to the incoming class would be to get to know the other fellows! They were an incredible source of support for me throughout the summer,” said Alexa Huether, former Mosaic Fellow and 2026 MA/MBA Graduate.
